GUMI GUTA - Pigment

Natural, sun-dried, congealed juice from a plant called Guttafera (Cambodia, Ceylon). A dye of plant origin.

Yellow lacquer. Used as watercolor and oil paint, as well as for coloring varnishes. Gumigut was used by medieval painters.

Rec. in alcohol, hydrocarbons.
